Manchester United came back from one goal down to beat Brentford 2-1 and ease pressure on Erik Ten Hag.
After a four-game winless run in the Premier League, United needed a win to ease pressure on manager Ten Hag. Brentford were the better side in the first half, with Onana standing strong to deny them. However, Brentford took the lead through Pinnock, who scored a corner kick in the added time of the first half.
In the second half, United levelled just minutes later, with Alejandro Garnacho scoring the goal. Rasmus Hojlund then scored his first goal of the season, which went to be the winning goal for United.
Speaking after the game, Ten Hag insisted the squad is together. “The pressure is always there. We have to win every game.” “This team has the capacity to score very good goals,” said Ten Hag. “Today the two goals we scored were high quality, and when you score and win, you add your momentum. At the start of the season we had some good performances but didn’t score enough, then everyone is negative. This result can help us, but it is only one win, and we must build on it.” He said.
