Kenya’s Harambee Starlets are intensifying preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco, starting with friendlies in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, on February 28. They’ll face Benin on March 2 and hosts Ivory Coast on March 4 at Stade Olympique Alassane Ouattara d’Ebimpé—key tests against FIFA-ranked foes (72nd and 139th) for the 133rd-placed Starlets.
Post-matches, the squad heads to a residential training camp in Miramas, France, until March 15 to sharpen tactics, boost fitness, and build cohesion under coach Beldine Odemba.
In Group A, Kenya opens against hosts Morocco on March 17, then Senegal (20th) and Algeria (23rd), with the tournament running March 17-April 3.
The provisional roster blends local talents like Annedy Kundu (GK, Kenya Police Bullets) and Jentrix Shikangwa (FW, Simba Queens) with overseas stars such as Ruth Ingosi (DF, Simba Queens).
