Liverpool forward Mohammed Salah has hit out at the club’s performance this season.

The Egyptian winger is expected to leave the Premier League this season on a free transfer. The Egyptian has scored a total of 257 goals and helped the club to six major trophies in nine years, including the Premier League and Champions League under Jurgen Klopp. However, this season things have not gone to plan, and Salah has been below his standards. The latest loss came to Aston Villa, to which they suffered a 4-2 loss. Liverpool have now suffered a total of 20 defeats this season.

Salah took to social media pages and called for attacking football to return to Anfield next season. “Us crumbling to yet another defeat this season was very painful and not what our fans deserve. I want to see Liverpool go back to being the heavy-metal attacking team that opponents fear and back to being a team that wins trophies. That is the football I know how to play, and that is the identity that needs to be recovered and kept for good. It cannot be negotiable, and everyone that joins this club should adapt to it,” he said.
