Kenya Police head coach Salim Babu has revealed how he has managed to convince the squad into understanding his methods which in turn has enabled the club to start getting results on a more consistent basis.
“This run has been good because I have never lost a game since taking charge of the club,We have planned to try and keep this run going in the remaining 10-12 games of the season in order to finish in a good position.
We have tried talking to these boys because they were under so much pressure which affected them.I just told them not to put themselves under pressure if they wanted to play well.
We talked for like two days and they bought into what I was telling them.I think it has become easy for them as a result and that is why they are actually playing well.”Babu told Pulse Sports.
Babu was given the job on an interim basis after the club parted ways with Zdravko Logarusic in January after the Croatian tactician fell out with his squad in December.
Since January, Police have gone on an unbeaten run that has now seen them jump from 13th to fifth place, and after 22 games, are 12 points behind Gor Mahia.
