Aaron Ramsdale, dad Nick Ramsdale has hit out at Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta for dropping him as the first-choice goalkeeper.
David Raya has replaced Ramsdale as the starting goalkeeper for the Arsenal team. Things have not gone too well at Ramsdale camp, as he admitted last international break that he is hurting inside.
Ramsdale father Nick Ramsdale has now hit out at Arteta for dropping him just months after extending his contract to stay at the Emirates. “Aaron’s lost that smile when he was holding onto that ball at this moment in time. And it is difficult. It really is difficult to see him there, and we all keep saying you need to keep smiling.”
He continued, “David Raya is a great goalkeeper, and it is not his fault. He’s just come in as a goalkeeper. David Raya, Aaron says, He is a lovely guy, and he works hard with him, and Aaron’s trying to help him as much as he can to settle in with the squad.
