The Spain bound Aldrine Kibet has been named the Sports Journalists Association of Kenya (SJAK) August Sports Personality of the Month.

Kibet was named the Kenya School Games MVP after leading his team, St Anthony’s Boys Kitale to the National Championship in Kakamega.

The 17-year-old Solidarity Boys Midfield maestro scored two goals against Dagoreti boys in the final of Kenya Secondary Games that were held in Kakamega County to lift the sixth Trophy for Solidarity boys.

Kibet ended the tournament with 25 goals and 27 assists, including those achieved in the early rounds of the competition.His combined tally of 42 goals earned him the prestigious title of the competition’s Most Valuable Player.

He walks home with a trophy and a 55 inch TV courtesy of LG Electronics.The last two awards were won by multiple world record holders, Faith Kipyegon.
