Manchester United forward Amad Diallo is set to miss an extended time after a knee injury.
Ruben Amorim’s side has been hit by injuries in recent weeks.Argentina defender Lisandro Martinez was stretched out in their win over Fulham; Kobbie Mainoo will also miss an extended period of time after also suffering an injury. Diallo suffered a knee injury in training and may not return again this season.The Ivorian forward has been one of the bright sides for United after scoring six goals in his last 14 games for Manchester United. Amorim will now have limited attacking options, especially after loaning out Marcus Rashford to Aston Villa.
Diallo took to his Instagram page to reveal the bad news and said he will support the team from the sidelines. “Extremely disappointed to be writing this message in such a crucial time of the season,” Diallo said in his post.”Unfortunately, I will be out for some time with an injury. I will come back stronger than ever!! Time to support the boys from the outside. Still loads to play for.”He wrote.
United are currently in 13th place and will face off against Tottenham Hotspur, who are also having a poor season.
