Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has apologised after his mistake against Bayern Munich.
Bayern Munich defeated Manchester United 4-3 in the Champions League opener on Wednesday evening. Andre Onana was at fault after his costly error led to Bayern Munich’s first goal of the game.
In the second half, however, he redeemed himself with incredible saves to keep the score line at bay, but it was too late for the game as they had already lost the game.
Onana spoke after the game and admitted that his mistake cost them the game. “It’s difficult to lose this way, as we started very well, but after my mistake, we lost control of the game.” It’s a difficult situation for us, and for me, as I let the team down. The team was really good, but it was because of me that we didn’t win this game.” He said.
