Kenyan-tennis sensation Angela Okutoyi immensely boosted her chances of making it to the upcoming Paris Olympics after her recent win in Tunisia- where she is camping for three weeks.

Her win escalated her to 502 ranking with 109 points which is a step closer to making the cut. She needs to move up to a minimum of 400 ranking.

She has two tournaments to make the cut before the deadline- June 10, where she needs to make it to the final or win the tournaments.

Currently, Emily Appleton from Great Britain and Caijaisa Hennemann from Sweden sit at position 399, and 400 respectively. She is 47 points off from the 400-ranked athlete.

In April, Okutoyi won the All-African Games title by drubbing Egyptian Lamis Abdelaziz to become the first Kenyan to win the accolade since 1978.
