Tottenham manager Antonio Conte has hit back at Spurs forward Richarlison over his comments.
After their exit in the Champions League after playing a 0-0 draw against AC Milan, Brazil forward Richarlison, who started the game on the bench, hit out at his boss Antonio Conte for benching him in the most important game of the season. He also added that the Spurs’ season has not been good overall.
Speaking after the game against Nottingham Forest, Spurs manager Antonio Conte has hit back at Richarlison, saying, “He started well with us, then had an injury, went to the World Cup, and had another serious injury.” He’s scored zero goals with us [in the Premier League] and only two goals in the Champions League, and the guy was really honest to say his season was not good. Conte went on to add, “If he deserves to play, I’ll give him the opportunity.” He said.
Spurs will host Nottingham Forest at home in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
