Lakers star Antony Davis has agreed to a contract extension with the club until 2028.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Anthony Davis and the Los Angeles Lakers have reached a three-year, $186 million contract agreement. Davis’s current contract has two years remaining, and the three-year extension will keep him committed to the Lakers through 2028.
Davis was acquired via a trade from the Pelicans and has won one championship since then, during the 2020 bubble. Since then, Davis has been out injured for the majority of his time, hence the inconsistency.
Last season, the Lakers were swept by the eventual champion Denver Nuggets in the second round. He will be eager to continue his partnership with Lebron James, who is set to return for his 21st NBA season.
