Manchester United were beaten 1-0 by Newcastle yesterday at St. James Park.

Fresh from their disappointing result against Galatasary, United once again performed poorly during their premier league game against Newcastle. In the first half, dominated by the home side, they had numerous chances to score through Almiron, whose effort curled wide. Alexander Isak’s effort was brilliantly blocked off by Harry Maguire as they went goalless at halftime.

In the second half, Newcastle managed to get the lead through Anthony Gordon, who scored after being set up by Trippier. United thought they had scored after an Antony effort, but Maguire was deemed offside. Newcastle managed to hold on to the win, while United have not won away against a top-eight side in more than two years.
