Arsenal has reached an agreement with Sporting Lisbon to sign striker Viktor Gyokeres.
The club had agreed in principle a deal of €63.5million (£55million) with €10million (£8.7million) in add-ons just over a week ago but the stucture of the deal was not yet agreed. The deal was sealed yesterday after his agent reduced his commission fees to facilitate the deal. Gyokeres only wanted Arsenal and had failed to report to training sessions for Sporting in order to facilitate a move to the club.
The Swedish striker scored 54 times in 52 games last season, hence attracting interest from top clubs in Europe. Arsenal have been busy in the transfer market, as they have added Cristhian Mosquera, Kepa, Noni Madueke and Martin Zubimendi to the squad and are expected to improve their interest in Xavi Simmons and Eze.
