Arsenal have lost their first match of the season after losing 1-0 to Newcastle United at St James Park on Saturday night.

Antony Gordon scored the lone goal which was subjected to a lot of questions as Arsenal Manager Mikel Arteta feels that the goal should not have counted as the ball was out of play before the goal was scored.

“We have to talk about how the hell this goal can stand up it is incredible I feel embarrassed, but I have to be the one coming in here to defend the club and please ask for help, because it is an absolute disgrace that this goal is allowed.

It’s an absolute disgrace it’s not a goal for many reasons we put so much effort in, and it is so difficult to compete at this level and this is an absolute disgrace.

I have been more than 20 years in this country, and this is nowhere near the level to describe the best league in the world, I am sorry.

I don’t care what they say whatever they say, it is too late.I don’t want to be in the hands of people, there is a lot of things it’s simple, it’s not a goal we lost three points today, do you know what that means? it’s too hard, it’s embarrassing … it’s incredible, honestly I feel sick to be part of this.”

Arsenal were looking to bounce back from Wednesday embarrassment when they suffered 3-1 defeat to West Ham United in the fourth round of Carabao Cup.

The defeat to Newcastle United could see Arsenal drop off to fifth place in the standings incase Liverpool and Aston villa wins their matches today.
