Arsenal returned to the top of the Premier League standings after a 2-0 win over Wolves.

After a humiliating exit in the Champions League in Munich, Arsenal have only the league to try and salvage a trophy this season. Leandro Trossard opened the scoring for the Gunners late in the first half and sent the Arteta team into a halftime lead.

In the second half, David Raya made a good save to deny Joe Gomes. Martin Odegaard sealed the win late in the game from a tight angle to send Arsenal back to the top of the Premier League standings.

Speaking after the win, Mikel Arteta was happy with his team’s performance. “Really good. I really liked the performance. Obviously, the result and the clean sheet, but especially the way, individually as a team, the team has shown that they still have another step forward to make and ensure the resilience and determination that are needed in these moments to step in and say, ‘I’m here. I’m going to make myself count, and I’m going to impact the team.” He said.
