Nottingham Forest released a statement of frustration after their 2-0 defeat to Everton in the Premier League.

The three penalty claims were all related to events involving Ashley Young. In the first incident, Young struck Gio Reyna’s boot while trying to make a tackle. Then, with Everton leading the game, Young was hit in the arm by a Callum Hudson-Odoi cross late in the first half. After the break, with the Toffees still leading 1-0, there was a third incident in which Young clashed with Hudson-Odoi in the area, but the referees declared that he had won the ball cleanly.

Forest took to x to hit out at the decision. “Three extremely poor decisions—three penalties not given—which we simply cannot accept. We warned the PGMOL that the VAR was a Luton fan before the game, but they didn’t change him. Our patience has been tested multiple times. NFFC will now consider its options.” Read the tweet.
