Bukayo Saka took to his social media page to apologize after their 2-2 draw against West Ham on Sunday evening.

Early in the second half of his team’s match against West Ham at the London Stadium, the England international had the chance to give Arsenal a 3-1 lead but absolutely flubbed his lines by sending his penalty well wide of the post. After West Ham scored an equalizer, the Gunners were forced to settle for a point, which gives championship contender Manchester City new life in their pursuit of the trophy.

After full time,Bukayo Saka took to his Instagram page to apologize for the penalty miss. “Regardless of the outcome, I’ll always accept my responsibility. Apologies, Gunners. I’ll do everything I can to make it right, he wrote on his Instagram page.

Manchester City now has a game in hand over Arsenal and is only four points ahead of them in the Premier League. The Gunners have blown 2-0 leads in back-to-back games after Liverpool held them in a thrilling match at Anfield last week.
