Moises Caicedo

Brighton announced yesterday that Colombia midfielder Moises Caicedo had penned a new long-term deal.

After failing to make his desired move to Arsenal in January, the Colombia midfielder has accepted and signed a new long-term deal to stay at the club. Arsenal went into the January transfer window with an offer of 75 million euros in order to sign the midfielder, but Brighton rejected the offer as they wanted him to stay at the club. Arsenal opted to sign former Chelsea midfielder Jorghinho, who has impressed so far.

Speaking after the deal, Brighton head coach Roberto De Zerbi was happy with the news: “This is fantastic news for the club, our fans, for me, and most importantly, for Moises.” It will make us stronger as we move forward towards our targets on the pitch. He said.

Brighton prepares to take on West Ham this weekend in the Premier League.
