Arsenal in a head-on clash with Bayern Munich tonight at The Emirates Stadium

The long-awaited quarterfinal matches are played tonight. Real Madrid welcomes the English Premier League Champions (Man City) to Santiago Bernabeu for their first-leg match, while Arsenal are to face the German champions (Bayern Munich) at Emirates Stadium tonight.

Arsenal are heading to their most crucial competition today with a positive mindset of winning. The Gunners record in the European competition has not been so impressive for the last decade, but with different players and under-focus manager Mikel Arteta, they are believing in a turn of events this time round.

The last time Bayern met Arsenal, Bayern humiliated the Gunners back in the 2016/17 season of the Champions League, as they won an astonishing 10-2 on aggregate in the Round of 16.

The Gunners, who are currently at the top of the English Premier League with perfect form, are ready to tackle Bayern Munich at Emirates Stadium tonight. Their squad may include their long-gone center-back, Jurrien Timber. Timber, who picked up a long-term injury at the beginning of the season, is now ready for business once more, as they wish to end the season successfully.

Bayern Munich have had a rough season under Thomas Tuchel, having dropped out of the Bundesliga title race and other domestic competitions. Tuchel, who is set to leave at the end of this season, believes he has to make things right in the UEFA Champions League.

Bayern Munich have been handed a selection boost for their Champions League quarterfinal first-league campaign with Arsenal tonight. The German heavyweights are ready to head to Emirates stadium for a not-to-be-missed opener at 10pm

Reports indicate that first-team players such as Manuel Neuer, Kingsley Coman, and Leroy Sane have returned to full training in preparation for the game. Aleksandar Pavlovic and Noussair Mazraoui are also set to be available at the Emirates Stadium.
