Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omollo- Shabana FC head coach, has expressed confidence in beating the relegation battle after his subtle yet vital tactical shakeups.

Speaking to the fourth estate, the Glamour Boys tactician has revealed the tactical shakeups have tightened the team’s defense valve.

Before their weekend’s massive 3-0 win against Posta Rangers, Shabana had conceded 13 goals in 8 games. This was detrimental to their hopes of remaining in the league next season.

Currently, the Glamour Boys are the third-worst team in terms of defense. They have conceded 37 goals in 25 matches. Only Sofapaka (38 goals), and Nzoia Sugar (41) have a worst record.

“I have been talking to them and doing training. I tell them not to take risks. Initially, we were taking a lot of risks and it was messing us up. So, a lot of talk has happened with the defense line and I am happy with the way we played our last two games.

“We conceded through a set piece against AFC Leopards, not open play, and against Posta, we dealt with them well, open play or off the ball. We were so solid and tight.” The Gaffer disclosed.

According to the boss, the remaining games are finals, as they brace to give their all to rescue the club from the abyss of relegation.
