Spanish international Aymeric Laporte has completed his move from English premier league champions Manchester City to Al Nassr in Saudi Pro league.
The Spanish defender has found opportunities limited at Manchester City as Pep Guardiola has often preferred to use Manuel Akanji , Ruben Dias, Nathan Ake and now Manchester City have acquired the services of Josko Gvadiol from RB Leipzig.
Laporte has made over 180 appearance for Manchester City scoring 12 goals since his record move back then in January 2018 from Athletic Bilbao.
Laporte will join the likes of Christiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, Seko Fofana, Alex Telles and Marcelo Brozovic who already joined the club.
In his statement as he leaves the club, Laporte appreciated the fans and teammates for the time they have been together.
“It has lasted five-and-a-half unforgettable years. Plenty of memories that I will keep forever close to my heart, from trophies to setbacks, victories to injuries, it’s all been part of my journey, and I’m grateful for absolutely every moment that shaped me into who I am today.
It was an honour and a pleasure to wear these colours and I hope you will remember me in a good way. I will always be a City fan and I look forward to seeing you all again.”
