Barcelona target Pavard as he demands Bayern’s exit for the second time. The French full-back doesn’t want to stay at Allianz Arena, but his price tag could be too much for the Catalans.

Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard is once again interested in a departure in the upcoming transfer window, according to reports coming from Germany. Sky Deutschland (via Sport) says that the French World Cup winner has asked Bayern to listen to offers for him after rejecting their latest renewal offer. His contract expires in 2024, and the Bavarians will have to decide whether to sell him now or potentially lose him for free.

Pavard fell out with former Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann in September 2022, and it appears he is still not convinced by the prospect of staying in Munich. The 27-year-old right-back has the approval of the Barcelona technical staff, but the tricky bit will be negotiating with Bayern, who reportedly want €35 million for him—a fee Barcelona feel is inflated.

If Barcelona could sign Pavard, he would likely be a minor upgrade on Kounde at right-back, although it has been rumored that, like Kounde, he would rather play in the middle of the defense.
