Spanish giants Barcelona have unveiled the signing of Marcus Rashford from Manchester United.

The England international will join Barcelona on loan from United for a 1-year deal, and a buy option has been included in the deal. Rashford will wear the jersey 14 for his La Liga season and has already completed his medicals ahead of the preseason tour for the La Liga holders. Barcelona missed out on long-time target Nico Williams after he decided to sign a new contract at Athletic Bilbao.

Rashford was happy after joining the club. “Barcelona is a club where people’s dreams come true. What the club stands for means a lot to me as well, and it feels like I’m at home, and this is a big factor in my choice. I feel I’m joining a family.” He said.

He went on to speak on Manchester United and his time there: “I don’t have anything bad to say about Manchester United. I think it’s been an important part of my life. I’m grateful… I just wish them all the best, and I hope they are successful in the future.” He concluded.
