Bayern Munich knocked out PSG after a 2-0 win at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday evening.
Bayern Munich led by a single goal in the first leg in Paris. PSG needed to score a goal in the second leg in order to have a chance in the next round. In the first half, both teams went neck-and-neck, and PSG created the best chance as Delight cleared Vitinha’s effort off the line after a mistake by Bayern Munich goalkeeper Sommer.
In the second half, Bayern Munich was a different side, and they created the chances and eventually took the lead through Choupo Moting. After the VAR check, the goal was disallowed for offside by Muller. Minutes later, PSG was caught in possession when Veratti lost the ball, and Choupo Moting eventually gave them the lead.
Substitute Serge Gnabry scored the second goal to kill PSG off after a counterattack. PSG weapons Mbappe and Messi could not manage to save the situation as PSG were knocked out in the round of 16.
