Thomas Tuchel’s era at Bayern Munich started well with a comfortable 4-2 win over Dortmund.

Dortmund goalkeeper Gregor Kobel made a mistake in the 13th minute that resulted in an own goal for Bayern Munich. Bayern struck once more with a goal from Thomas Mueller in the 18th minute before Dortmund was able to regroup. Kobel’s nightmare continued as he deflected a Leroy Sane shot into Mueller’s hands for a simple tap-in.

Six minutes after the resumption, Bayern scored through Kingsley Coman, extending the difficult night for the visitors. Borrusia Dortmund scored twice late in the contest, on Emre Can’s penalty in the 72nd minute and Donyell Malen’s effort in stoppage time, but it wasn’t enough to keep them from falling to second place with only eight games left.
