Borussia Dortmund defeated Newcastle 2-0 at Signal-Iduna Park to give them a humiliating Champions League loss.

Dortmund started the game in the upper half and forced Newcastle goalkeeper Nick Pope into excellent saves to deny both Brant and Adayemi. The German side eventually got the breakthrough when Niclas Fullkrug scored from close range in the 20th minute.

In the second half, Joelinton headed the ball just miles wide for Newcastle’s best chance of the game. Dortmund secured the win on the counter when Julian Brant scored a brilliant solo effort to give them a deserved win.

Dortmund now leads the group with 7 points, with Newcastle at the bottom with just 4 points, and they are in danger of failing to advance to the knockout stage.
