Ulinzi Stars has been dealt a blow after their head coach Bernard Mwalala announced that he is leaving the club after barely a season.
He is set to leave the club once the semi-final clash against Tusker on Saturday is over. Sources close to the club have revealed that harsh working conditions were the hammer blow to the young but exciting managerial career at the club.
“The coach has told us that he is leaving, no one saw it coming because we had trained well, and after that, he called for a meeting and informed us that tomorrow’s game will be his last in charge of the team, He did not give us many details but he pointed at unbearable working conditions as the reason to quit. It’s a shocker but we have to focus on tomorrow’s game and try to win it for him because he has been a good coach for us since he joined the club at the start of the season,” the source revealed.
He joined the club before the start of the 2022-23 FKF-PL season and leaves the club with four games to spare. Ulinzi Stars is currently eighth.
