Everton and Crystal Palace have agreed a swap deal involving Brennan Johnson and Dwight McNeil, with the two Premier League players set to exchange clubs.

Brennan Johnson, 25, is expected to join Everton from Crystal Palace after a short spell at Selhurst Park. The Wales international joined Palace from Tottenham in January 2026 for a reported £35 million. His time at Palace, however, produced limited league numbers, with the forward struggling to establish himself as a regular source of goals.

Before moving to Palace, Johnson enjoyed a productive period at Tottenham. He joined Spurs from Nottingham Forest in 2023 and made more than 100 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring 27 goals. One of his most memorable moments came when he scored the winning goal in Tottenham’s 2025 Europa League final victory over Manchester United.

Dwight McNeil, 26, will move in the opposite direction from Everton to Crystal Palace. The England international joined Everton from Burnley in 2022 after developing into an established Premier League winger.

McNeil is known for his crossing, creativity and ability to operate on either flank. The move to Palace gives him an opportunity to revive his career and compete for regular first-team football. For both players, the swap represents a fresh start as they look to make a greater impact at their new clubs.
