England suffered a disappointing 2-1 home loss to 48th-ranked Greece.

Interim manager Carsley suffered his first loss after a disappointing outing for the three lions.Vangelis Pavlidis scored a stoppage time winner as they marked a historic win over England at Wembley.Earlier in the second half, Jude Bellingham cancelled out the Vangelis Pavlidis opener in the first as England struggled in front of goal. Speaking after the loss, Carsley said they were trying something different in the game. “We tried something different and tried to overload the midfield,” said Carsley. “We tried it for 20 minutes yesterday; we experimented and were disappointed it didn’t come off. It’s unrealistic to expect too much, and we will have to try again. All the goals were from mistakes, which is disappointing.”He said.

In other games, Belgium drew 2-2 with 10 men Italy, while France defeated Israel 4-1.
