Chelsea aim to snap their winless streak in the Premier League as they host Southampton.
Enzo Maresca’s side has lost form in the second half of the season. They are no longer in the title contention this season and have already been knocked out of the Carabao Cup and FA Cup this season. The only chance they have at securing silverware is the UEFA Conference League. They have lost back-to-back Premier League games against Brighton and Aston Villa and have dropped to sixth place in the standings. Injuries have also affected their form, with Jackson and Madueke both currently sidelined, as is Romeo Lavia.
After the Aston Villa game, Maresca insisted he is not worried about Cole Palmer’s form as he will bounce back. “I am not concerned about Cole Palmer and his form.During the season, he can have some moments where he struggles a little bit more. With Cole, we rely on Cole for everything. We need to rely on the team. We are not worried about Cole at all.When things are not going well for him, he trains even harder! I love that.” He said.
Tonight they will host Southampton as they aim to snap their winless run and keep pressure on their top four charge next season.
