Romeo Lavia will join Chelsea from Southampton for £58 million after the two clubs reached an agreement yesterday.
Lavia has been given permission to go through medicals at Chelsea, and the contract is worth an initial £53 million plus an additional £5 million. There shouldn’t be any issues with Chelsea and Lavia’s personal terms.
Lavia made it clear he wants to move to Chelsea, despite Liverpool and Southampton having reached an agreement on a deal worth £60 million on Sunday night. Lavia changed his mind after Liverpool opted to bid for Caicedo instead of completing his transfer.
Chelsea also completed the signing of Caicedo, and yesterday they also activated the release clause for Michael Olise from Crystal Palace.
