Harry Maguire’s move from Manchester United to West Ham has fallen through.

Last week, both clubs agreed on a deal worth £30 million for the former United captain, but personal terms were not finalised. Maguire will not have to remain at United this season if he makes a move before the transfer deadline is finished.

Maguire was earlier in the summer ripped of his captaincy role and replaced by Bruno Fernandes, in which the former Leicester defender expressed his disappointment in the decision.

A source close to the player revealed the move has failed to materialise. “Harry respects West Ham and David Moyes, but to be clear, there was never an agreement in place between Harry and West Ham. The process was less advanced than portrayed in the media. For example, at no point has Harry spoken to David Moyes.” Said the statement.
