Chelsea got their first win under Frank Lampard as substitute Joao Felix scored off the bench to give them a 3-1 advantage.
Having endured a difficult start to life as Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard will be delighted to see his team register their first win. Chelsea took the lead through Conor Gallagher’s brilliant header just nine minutes into the game. Bournemouth then scored through Matias Vina in spectacular fashion. Noni Madueke was excellent in the first half, but his efforts were saved by Neto.
In the second half, Benoit Badiashile got his first goal as a Chelsea player after a fantastic delivery from Hakim Ziyech. Substitute Joao Felix played a lovely exchange with Raheem Sterlinh before sliding a strike near the post to beat Neto and seal the win for Chelsea.
The win lifted Chelsea’s spirits, with tough games coming up as the season nears its conclusion. They are, however, in 11th place with 42 points after playing 34 games, while Bournemouth are 14th with 39 points.
