USA Boxing has unveiled the seedings for the upcoming 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Boxing, set to take place from Dec. 4-9 at the CAJUNDOME in Lafayette, La. Each weight category can have up to four seeded boxers, determined by various performance criteria, including elite team membership, championship wins, and continental achievements.
The prioritized criteria range from being a part of the 2023 Elite High Performance Team to winning specific championships or qualifiers in the same weight category.
In cases where a weight category lacks four qualifying boxers, the remaining slots will be randomly drawn during the selection process on Dec. 3.More than 150 boxers nationwide will vie for victory across 13 Olympic weight categories.
Successful contenders will progress to the next stage of USA Boxing’s selection process, with some categories advancing the top two champions. For detailed selection procedures, refer to the official guidelines.
