England’s World Cup preparations have been disrupted after a shipment containing players’ boots, training balls and essential training equipment was reportedly stolen while being transported from their pre-tournament base in Florida to Kansas City. Items belonging to stars such as Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham were among those reported missing.

Reports indicate that coaching and analysis equipment used by England manager Thomas Tuchel was also taken, with some outlets claiming only one training ball remained from the stolen shipment.

The theft occurred before England’s first training session at their Kansas City base ahead of their opening FIFA World Cup match against Croatia. Local police launched an investigation and have already detained two persons of interest.

The Football Association and equipment suppliers are now working to secure emergency replacements so preparations can continue with minimal disruption.
