European football has entered a new coach zinedine Zidane, Xavi Hernández and Jürgen Klopp beginning their first international assignments.
ZINEDINE ZIDANE — FRANCE
The France legend has returned to the national setup, this time as head coach after replacing Didier Deschamps. Zidane knows the French shirt better than most: he scored twice in the 1998 World Cup final as France lifted their first world title and was central to their EURO 2000 triumph. As a coach, he later led Real Madrid to three consecutive Champions League titles from 2016 to 2018.
XAVI HERNÁNDEZ — NETHERLANDS
Xavi has taken his first senior national-team coaching job with the Netherlands. His playing career was built around Barcelona and Spain’s golden generation. He won eight La Ligature titles and four Champions Leagues with Barça, while with Spain he won EURO 2008, the 2010 World Cup and EURO 2012. As a coach, he guided Barcelona to the 2022/23 La Ligature title.
JÜRGEN KLOPP — GERMANY
Klopp has also moved into international management for the first time, taking charge of Germany. His club career includes two Bundesliga titles with Borussia Dortmund and a Champions League final appearance, before his Liverpool era produced the 2019 Champions League and 2019/20 Premier League titles, alongside the FA Cup, League Cups and FIFA Club World Cup.Three legendary careers.
