Manchester City defeated the Young Boys 3-1 in the Champions League as Erling Haaland scored twice.

Manuel Akanji gave City the lead in the 48th minute after heading back a rebound pass. The young boys drew level just minutes later when Meschack Elia found the back of the net.

Erling Haaland then scored the second goal from the penalty spot before he rounded off the win with his second goal of the game as Manchester City were able to hold off a comfortable 3-1 win.

Speaking after the win, Pep Guardiola praised Erling Haaland. “I am sorry, but this guy will score goals all his life. With his chances, he is an incredible threat. The players need the ability to find the pass, like Kevin de Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan. But he is going to score until the last day he plays football.” He said.
