Manchester City forward Erling Haaland won the PFA Player of the Season award for last season.

The former Borussia Dortmund striker edged out several players, including City teammates Kevin De Bruyne and John Stones, as well as Arsenal duo Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard and former Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.

Haaland led Manchester City to a historic treble last season, where he also won the golden boot after scoring 36 goals in 35 games.

Speaking after winning the award, Haaland said it was a successful season last campaign. “It’s an honour to win this prestigious award,” Haaland told club media. “To be recognised by your competitors is a great feeling, and I would like to thank everyone who voted for me. It was an unforgettable season for the team and for me personally.” He said.
