Everton defeated Bournemouth 1-0 on the last day of the season to secure their place in the Premier League for another year.

Going into the final game of the season, Everton’s destiny was in their own hands, as they needed a win to secure a spot in the Premier League next season. Going into the halftime break, Leicester City was leading against West Ham, which meant that Everton were going to the championship.

However, in the second half, a sensational goal from Abdoulaye Doucoure lifted the crowd in celebration as they got the crucial goal. In the end, it didn’t matter that Leicester defeated West Ham 2-1 at home because Sean Dyche’s team held their destiny in their own hands with a thrilling victory.

After full-time, Everton managed to stay in the Premier League, and it was heartbreak for Leicester City, who were relegated just years after winning the league in the 2015/2016 season.
