Former Chelsea striker Timo Werner has hit out at former boss Thomas Tuchel over his struggles at Chelsea.

After helping Chelsea win their second champions league in his first season as a Chelsea player, current RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner saw his game time reduced in his second season especially due to the introduction of Romelu Lukaku. Thomas Tuchel was later sacked by Chelsea in early september also after letting both Timo Werner and Lukaku leave the club. Chelsea replaced Tuchel with Potter and it is looking like a mistake as Chelsea are currently in the 10th place after a run of poor perfomances.

Speaking to the Mirror, RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner said, “I scored the goals and played good games.” Then all this gets a little bit forgotten by the manager; it was not really fair. That was also why I had to move back to Leipzig to get the enjoyment back. “The biggest problem was he put a striker like Lukaku in front of me in the second season after I won the Champions League by playing nearly every game in the first squad,” he said.

Chelsea will next play Spurs in the premier league after suffering a disappointing loss to Southampton in the premier league.
