Gor Mahia and Tusker FC will learn their 2026–27 CAF opponents next week after CAF scheduled the preliminary round draw for Thursday, August 6, in Cairo, Egypt.
KPL champions Gor Mahia will represent Kenya in the CAF Champions League, while FKF Cup winners Tusker FC will compete in the CAF Confederation Cup. Both sides are currently in the CECAFA Kagame Cup in Rwanda, using the tournament to sharpen match fitness and tactics ahead of their continental assignments.
With the Kagame Cup still ongoing, performances in Rwanda could influence squad selection and game plans once the draw reveals their CAF opponents. Kenyan fans now await the August 6 draw, hoping for favorable ties that could ease both clubs into the later stages of their respective competitions.
