Harambee Stars head coach Ben McCarthy has sent a warning to Tanzania ahead of the quarter-finals showdown.
The national team topped their group after edging out the likes of Morocco, Angola and Zambia in the group stages. They will now play in the quarter-finals at Kasarani after winning their group. Kenya would have avoided travelling to Tanzania had they finished second. Tanzania also has 10 points in their name and will now face off against Morocco.
Speaking after beating Zambia 1-0, head coach McCarthy sent a warning to Tanzania, as they have to face Morocco. “We stay in Kenya, and that was the most important. So, Tanzania will get their wish, and they will experience what we experienced: the group of death. Now, Morocco is going to Tanzania. So, I want feedback after the Morocco game so that they know what we went through every game in this tournament. So, yeah. So, good luck to Tanzania in the next round.” He said.
