Harry Kane

England and Spurs forward Harry Kane became the all-time top scorer for England with 54 goals during England’s 2-1 win over Italy on Thursday evening.

In a rematch of Euro 2020, where Italy won on penalty kicks, England were desperate to beat the Italians in Naples. Declan Rice, the West Ham captain, scored the game’s first goal before Harry Kane’s penalty kick doubled the opposition’s advantage just before halftime.

Mateo Retegui scored Italy’s lone goal after the break, but even after Luke Shaw was dismissed 10 minutes from time, they were unable to tie the score as Engalnd went on to win the game.

Harry kane passed Wayne Rooney who has 53 goals and has been Engaland top scorer and now the Spurs skipper will look to add more in his tally.

Wayne Rooney took to his Twitter page to congratulate the skipper.  “Congratulations to Harry Kane on becoming England’s all-time leading goalscorer!” I knew it wouldn’t take long, but that was quick.  A great man, an unbelievable goalscorer, and an England legend: “Congratulations, Harry.” He wrote.
