Liverpool midfielder Jordan Hernderson has bid fans goodbye ahead of his move to Saudi Arabia.
During his tenure on Merseyside, the England international won the Champions League, premier league, the FA Cup, two League Cups, the Uefa Super Cup, and the Fifa Club World Cup.
Steven Gerrard, the manager of Al-Ettifaq, and his former Liverpool captain and teammate Henderson will reunite again in Saudi Arabia. The England midfielder made 492 appearances for the Reds, scoring 33 goals and registering 57 assists in a £20 million transfer from Sunderland in June 2011.
Henderson took to his Instagram page to bid Liverpool fans goodbye. “It’s hard to put these last 12 years into words, and it’s even harder to say goodbye,” he wrote on Instagram. “I will always be a Red. Until the day I die. Thank you for everything. You’ll never walk alone.” He wrote.
