Kick-off date for 2023/2024 season revealed.The main transfer window is set to open towards the end of June and close five days before the kick off date.

2023/2024 Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) season is set to kick off on 26 August 2023.This is according to official communication sent to the Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of the various FKFPL clubs by the FKFPL management.

Top of the new season kick-off day, FKF further announced that the transfer window for all FKF Leagues will open on 26 June 2023 and will close on 21 August 2023, five days to the start of the new FKFPL campaign.

“FKF shall open the 2023/2024 primary registration window for all FKF leagues on June 26, 2023. The registration window for FKF PL clubs will officially close on August 21, 2023, whereas the window for the National Super League will close on September 10, 2023.

While the current top-tier campaign is set to culminate midway through June, the National Super League season is set to end on 8 July 2023.

This will leave just over a month for the clubs that will be promoted to the top-tier to rest, conduct their pre-season training, as well as bolster their squads.

Already, Vihiga Bullets have been relegated from the topflight and either Mathare United or Wazito FC could join them in the direct drop zone, with one of the two set to play in the relegation-promotion playoff.

In the NSL, Shabana FC lead the promotion race followed closely by Murang’a Seal with Migori Youth, Mara Sugar, Gusii, and Darajani Gogo are all in contention for the promotion playoff position with the direct positions seemingly taken.
