France forward Kylian Mbappe has hit back after Vinicius Jr was racially abused.
During the Benfica against Real Madrid game, Vinicius Jr accused Benfica player Prestianni of racially abusing him as he celebrated his goal. Things escalated quickly, and Real Madrid players left the pitch momentarily. Prestianni appeared to have covered his mouth as he uttered the words. Things went on throughout the game as the fans kept on booing the players, especially Vinicius, when they were on the ball.
Speaking after the game, Kylian Mbappe admitted that Prestianni should receive punishment after his actions. “Benfica are a top club; nothing against them… but Prestianni should NEVER play in UCL anymore. Did Prestianni apologise? Did you see his face? An apology? We’re not stupid, me and Vini… we saw what he said. Vini Jr should dance as much as he wants and never stop. No one can tell us what we should do or not do,”He he said.
