Manchester City and Liverpool played to a 1-1 draw at Anfield in the Premier League.
The visitors took the lead through John Stones, who scored from Kevin de Bruyne’s cross at the near post to give Manchester City the lead in the 23rd minute. Erling Haaland had the chance to double the ead, but his shot went straight at Kellher.
At the start of the second half, City gave up a penalty just eighty-four seconds after the break. Goalkeeper Ederson had intercepted Nathan Ake’s careless backpass, sending Darwin Nunez to the ground. Following a pause, Alexis Mac Allister scored the penalty kick, which forced Ederson to be taken off with an apparent injury.
Luis Diaz had the chance to win it for Liverpool after a wonderful pass by Mo Salah, but Ortega denied him. Doku also had the chance for City, but his effort hit the crossbar as both sides settled for a draw.
