Mo salah (11) during United clash

Manchester United suffered their heaviest Premier League defeat ever after a 7-0 thrashing by Liverpool at Anfield yesterday.

Manchester United went looking for a result at Anfield, and they had a day to forget. Cody Gakpo opened the scoring just minutes before halftime with a super-curled effort into the far corner to give Liverpool a halftime lead.

In the second half, everything fell apart for United. Darwin Nunez scored the second with a header, and Cody Gakpo added his second after Mo Salah’s through ball. Mo Salah then added the fourth goal after the ball found him in the box and he smashed it into the top corner. Darwin Nunez added his second of the game and Liverpool’s fifth with a superb header, and Mo Salah added his second and Liverpool’s sixth minutes later. Liverpool were not done, as substitute Roberto Firmino added the seventh goal in a toothless United squad to complete a wonderful evening at Anfield.

The defeat was the worst ever for Manchester United in the Premier League and also the worst in Erik Ten Hag’s career.
