Mohammed Salah

Liverpool and Egypt forward Mohammed Salah broke the all-time Premier League goal scoring record for Liverpool in the 7-0 thrashing of Manchester United.

In the 4-0 rout of United in the Premier League match at Anfield on Sunday, Mo Salah fired in off the post for his first goal, tying him with club legend Robbie Fowler for the league’s most goals scored. When he scored again to bring his total to 129, he broke Liverpool’s Premier League goal mark.

Salah scored twice in Liverpool’s historic victory, bringing his total against the Old Trafford side to 11 goals in his last six games. In the end, Liverpool defeated United 7-0 for their greatest victory ever; Roberto Firmino, Cody Gakpo, and Darwin Nunez all contributed goals.

Speaking after the record, Mo Salah said, “It’s very special, I can’t lie.” “This record was in my mind since I came here; I think after my first year I was always chasing that record, so to break it today, against United, with that result, was unbelievable.” So I’m going home to celebrate with the family, have a cup of camomile tea, and sleep!” He said.
