Liverpool have agreed to sign Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich.
Ryan Gravenberch will sign a five-year contract with Liverpool after the two sides reached an agreement on a price of around €40 million (£34.2 million). He will go to Merseyside on Thursday night to finalise the transaction.
Liverpool have been on the market to sign midfielders after losing two of their top targets, Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, to Chelsea last month.
In addition to recouping the £20 million they spent on Gravenberch’s recruitment from Ajax, Bayern also hoped to turn a profit. It’s believed that Ajax had a sell-on clause in the previous agreement.
Before approving Gravenberch’s departure, Bayern sought to find a replacement. Bayern is interested in Fulham’s Joao Palhinha.
